Advertising is means or a channel for a company to communicate with clients/customers in order to promote their products and services. Frequently it communicates a message that includes the name of the product or service and how that product or service could potentially benefit the consumer.

Advertising often attempts to persuade potential customers to purchase or to consume a particular brand of product or service. Advertising takes many forms it can be through word of mouth, face to face interaction (what industry calls as direct selling), print advertising (using news papers and other paper material as a communication channel), bill board advertising (advertising on digital screens which held in many public places), broadcasting (using both digital and electronic media) et al. Because each and every Business to Customer (B2C) is willing to advertise about their product using different communication channels suitable to their budget constraints. Online advertising is the recently emerging channel of communication through which advertising is done.

Online advertising is a form of promotion/advertising that uses Internet as a communication medium/channel through World Wide Web for the expressed purpose of delivering marketing messages to attract customers. Examples of online advertising include contextual ads that appear on search engine results pages, banner ads, in text ads, Rich Media Ads, Social network advertising, online classified advertising, advertising networks and e-mail marketing, including e-mail spam. Sales jobs (in the category of marketing or advertising) are the most sought after jobs not by the job seekers but by the recruiters. They want sales boys/girls who are extremely energetic (though not young) and who can deliver their time bounded targets with in the expected deadline.

Advertising companies have always wanted people for their operations to get going. There are jobs for events/promotion manager, Account manager, Client servicing executive et al. So, with many channels of communication emerging in the market day by day there is no scarcity for advertising jobs at all.
