Casino Hotel Doorperson
Casinos and casino hotels are very customer-oriented. When guests arrive at a casino, a Doorperson is often one of the first people to greet and welcome them. Sometimes called a door attendant, the individual opens guests’ car doors and helps them out of the vehicle. The Doorperson is stationed near the main casino or casino hotel door so the person can open the door for guests each time they enter and depart from the facility.
The Doorperson assists guests with hand luggage, packages, and other items. The perso nalso unloads guests’ luggage onto a cart. In some facilities, the Doorperson moves the luggage inside the hotel. In others, baggage handlers or bellhops handle interior luggage movement. Doorperson duties extend to assisting guests when they are leaving as well as upon arrival. Individuals load luggage into guests’ vehicles. They also open the customers’ car doors, help them in, and close the doors. Doorpersons earn an hourly salary ranging from USD 8.00 to USD 8.50 or more plus tips.
