And what do you do with this research? That's up to you. If you find that your house is below, or equal to, comparable homes in your neighborhood and town, you might determine to just plow ahead with your house improvement project. If your home is at the top end in your neighborhood, you might want to give it more thought. If you are planning to stay in your home forever, the reality that your house improvement project might overprice your home for your neighborhood is not a top concern.
